Following his Master's degree, Mondal worked as an Early Childhood Educator at Azim Premji Foundation, where he played a vital role in helping children develop foundational literacy and numeracy skills. Sheikh Khurshid Alam graduated with a Bachelor in Law from the Department of Law, University of Calcutta. His passion for law and social justice led him to pursue a second Master of Laws (LL.M) in Law and Development from Azim Premji University. The first was in Islamic Jurisprudence from Aliah University in 2016.
During his time at Azim Premji University, Khurshid was deeply influenced by the institution's emphasis on social responsibility and community engagement. He actively participated in various initiatives focused on education and healthcare development.
Upon completing his LL.M, Khurshid joined the Azim Premji Foundation, where he played a pivotal role in the organization's efforts to improve the lives of marginalized communities. He served as a core team member in Chhattisgarh, where he worked closely with government school teachers to improve teaching practices and developed learning materials for children and teachers in the Upper Primary level in Social and Political Life subject. He has also contributed to the content development of the SCERT Chhattisgarh textbooks for the Upper Primary level in Social and Political Life subject and developed training materials for teachers on the new curriculum.
Khurshid's experience with the Azim Premji Foundation further solidified his commitment to social impact and fueled his desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. In 2021, he returned to his hometown of Kolkata to establish his own venture as a legal and educational consultant.
